For the second season in a row, our chamber organization has been selected as a recipient of a NY State Council on the Arts grant. Our 2021 season project is titled "The Living City" and will focus on living composers, including a newly commissioned work by Queens-based composer Beata Moon.
In 2019, we commissioned three new works for a quartet of soprano, violin, horn, and piano, and plan to perform these again during our upcoming season, along with existing compositions by local composers.

Through her various roles as a teaching artist, performer, composer and activist, Beata Moon has been able to fulfill her wish to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. She believes that going beyond the listening experience, engaging in the actual composition and creation of music is an invigorating way to process life’s varied experiences while striving towards social change.
